Delhi International School , a school with a difference.
Delhi International School ,located in the serene and silent part of Valanchery,was established in the year 2002 with the aim of providing quality public school education in line with National Curriculam, simultaneously ensuring the holistic development of children. The school accords equal importance to Scholastic as well as Co Scholastic domains of education.
The school got affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education – Delhi, in 2009, in 2011, the school was granted approval for upgradation to the Senior Secondary level. Mr. Mohammed Ali C.K.M, a man who is committed in contributing his maximum towards education is the Chairman of the school.Under his visionary leadership,the school has prospered.
Our VISION is the evolution of the institution into a world class children's community producing the finest school graduates to serve and lead an advanced and modern society of tomorrow.
The MISSION of the institution is to function as a 'Finishing School', for children by promoting among them a thirst for knowledge, creative talents, basic human values, self-reliance, team spirit, leadership qualities resulting into an all-round personality development, through superior educational facilities and goal setting.
The MOTTO of the school is to be a reservoir of knowledge, which proclaims not only the very purpose of education but also the basic tenets of a global society in a new world order.
Chairman's Message
Delhi International School, Valanchery was established with the hope of developing it in to a educational institution with a difference. Academic excellence along with co-curricular and extra co-curricular activities, ensuring the development of life skills among children are considered to be the basis of a good system of school education. No matter how technologically advanced we are, it is indispensable to ensure that our children do not lose sight of the complexities of human relationships and the realities of life. Our children should be equipped not only with true academic knowledge, but also with the necessary life skills to help them live as better citizens in today’s world. It gives me immense satisfaction to note that Delhi International School is progressing in this line towards achieving the overall personality development of the children. Teachers Training Sessions 2018 – 2019
(From 28-May-2019 to 30-May-2019)
All staff was summoned for a general meeting on 28/May/2019. A self-Introduction session was conducted where all of them introduced themselves. On the same day Dr. Abdul Rasak, a prominent resource person for communicative English, headed a session on Application of English Language in Daily Life. The session was included with many activities which kept the staff lively throughout.
Day two of the training session started at 10:00 am. Mr. Chandran Nair, a renowned resource person of Rachna Sagar Publication, conducted a session on How to make Teaching and Learning Process Effective.
Duties for teachers for the academic session 2018 – 2019 were given on the following day.

School Reopening Day
School entrance was well decorated and the teachers invited the students to the school after summer holidays. A special assembly was conducted. The students who were promoted from Montessori II to Class 1 were received to the school section by the students of Class 2 and their class teachers.

Vayana Varam
The importance of Malayalam language was presented in the assembly. A speech on the importance of Reading was delivered by Ms. Seniya of class 10 and the Principal inauguratedVayanaVaram for the year 2018 - 19.

Montessori Re-opening Day and World Refugee Day
Re-opening Day for our tiny tots was arranged in a colorful manner. Montessori section was made attractive to receive our beginners. Our Chairman Mr. Mohammed Ali CKM gave balloons for our new Tiny Tots and welcomed them to our school.
To show the importance of Refugee Day a rally was conducted by class 10 students.

World Anti Narcotic Day
The importance of World Narcotiee Day is presented in the form of a speech by Ms. FathimaShada of class 10 and Sanjana of class 10 lead the pledge on Anti-Narcotics Day.
Science Club of the school conducted various activities to inculcate the needto work against the usages ofdrugs. An awareness class was also given for the students.

HelenKeller Day was observed. In the assembly two students Ms. Janvi and Mr. Sebin of class 10 presented speech related to Helen Keller.

Election Campaigning
Election for the year 2018-19 was announced in the assembly. Mrs. Dhanya, the chief electoral officer called out the names of different nominees and they introduced themselves in the assembly.
Same day they all went for class campaigning and made them familiar to each one of them.

Orientation Class for 6 to 10
An orientation class was arranged for students of 6 to 10 based on Anti-narcoticsby our science club members. This highly educative class was taken by Mr. Shareef, Civil Police Officer. Students were highly motivated. They understood what the real meaning of Narcotics is and why they have stay away from such crimes.

Vaikam Mohammed Basheer’s Death Anniversary
Fathima Shada of class 10 presented a speech in remembranceofVaikkom Mohammed Basheer. On the same day Malayalam club organized a poster making competition and quiz competition.

School Parliament Election Result Declaration
A special assembly was conducted to declare the results school parliament election. All the newly electedparliament members along with four house-in-charges, assistants, house mothers and their assistants were invited on stage.

Orientation Programme
Social Science club conducted an orientation class for the students of 5 to 9 by an IAS trainer. An eminent personality from one of the IAS academies in Kerala conducted a session on the importance of civil service and the other benefits the students would get by preparing for civil service exams.

Tiny Tots of DISV enjoyed the beauty of rain by celebrating the day as Rainbow day.
World Population Day
In connection with world population day Social Science Club conducted slogan writing competition for class 6 and 7 and essay writing competition for classes 3 and 9 along with this a speech related to the same topic was conducted.

Investiture Ceremony
The process of election was over. The next step is to designate duties to the members officially. We had one Investiture ceremony for the year 201 8 – 19in our school campus.

Cultural Fest
Cultural Fest named Festoon 2018 was inaugurated by Ms. FathimaShahana, Kuttikkuppayam fame, on 13 August 2018. The same day all the class magazines were released class wise by our guest. She sang songs to make the audience feel more energetic and also motivated the participants.

All the staff and students reached school to be a part of our Independence Day celebration.Mr.Sasi, SI of Valanchery Police Station, was our Chief Guest. He hoisted the flag. The school choir praised our flag with the flag song. Our guest delivered a speech to motivate the students and to make them aware about the importance of Independence Day.

A special assembly in Malayalam was organized. Language teachers made this day a remarkable one by giving chance to our students to showcase their emotions towards Malayalam Language.
To make the students aware of the specialty of this day one “OrmaMaram'" was arranged. Along with these activities one antique exhibition was also setup.

Christmas is the last celebration before made New Year. So we all enjoyed that day by singing, dancing. Christmas cake was cut in the presence of Santa. Students and Teachers joined hands together and performed different programs on the stage.

It was one of the major programmes of our school. All the students of Montessori section were well prepared in their costumes. And our respected Chairman graduated them on the stage.
